Remarks at the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum

My brother and friend, Your Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China

Firstly, I extend my sincere thanks to Your Excellency for hosting and chairing this 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. We highly appreciate the efforts made in preparing for this meeting.

I would also like to express my confidence that your country, under your leadership, will continue its development and progress and will work to enhance Arab-Chinese joint cooperation and efforts in the near future.

Your Excellency, distinguished attendees,

This meeting comes at a time when the world needs to unite and show solidarity to face common challenges. In the UAE, we believe that concerted efforts, collaboration, and international cooperation are the best ways to advance our countries, meet the aspirations of our peoples, and ensure a prosperous future for coming generations.

This meeting also takes place amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East due to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, which is leading to dire humanitarian conditions for its residents. This situation underscores the importance of Arab-Chinese cooperation alongside international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire, provide protection for its residents, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Additionally, there is an urgent need to pursue a just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the two-state solution.

Our meeting today represents the distinguished relations between China and Arab countries and reaffirms our mutual commitment to elevating Arab-Chinese cooperation to greater heights.

The UAE is keen to cooperate with its Arab neighbours to support and enhance Arab-Chinese cooperation in a manner that serves the aspirations of all sides.

In conclusion, I express my confidence that the outcomes of this meeting will strengthen the level of coordination and enable ongoing cooperation between Arab countries and the People's Republic of China.
